Abstract

An 18-year-old woman admitted for left ptosis, diplopia and paresthesia of limbs. She had a history of numbness of her limbs 3 months ago. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed thickening and enhancement of the left oculomotor nerve and nerve conduction study demonstrated a demyelinating polyneuropathy. We report a case with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) in whom MRI with gadolinium enhancement demonstrated hypertrophy of the left oculomotor nerve.
